1959    First activities of Siemens in Kuwait

1964    First Communication Systems were sold

1964   Commissioning of the Steam Power Plant ‘Shuaiba North’

1967   First 132/33/11kV air insulated Substation was delivered

1970   First 132kV gas-insulated switchgear which Siemens supplied abroad to MEW

1975   First earth satellite station abroad delivered by Siemens

1976   Contract for the National Power Control Center was awarded

1979   National and German Electrical & Electronic Services Company (NGEECO) – the local representative of Siemens AGwas founded as a closed shareholding company.  

1982    First Therapy unit for the Cancer Centre

1983   Largest dancing water fountain was completed

1984    First Angiography Equipment for Kuwait University

1989    First CT Scanner was delivered for the Farwaniya Hospital

1991   Siemens was the first non-U.S. vendor represented by Siemens EES KSC after the Liberation of Kuwait

1995   First Gamma Cameras were installed in various hospitals of the ministry of Health

1997   EWSD digital switching systems for MOC and MTC

1997   First Magnetic Resonance Imaging System for the Sabah Hospital

1999   First Turnkey Dual Band GSM Network for Wataniya Telecom was awarded

1968-2007  95 turnkey substation projects have been executed for the MEW which represents more than 25% of the network. 

2003   MEW Contract for the construction of 1000 MW, Az-Zour South Gas Turbine Power Plant. 

2005  Company’s name changed from NGEECO to Siemens Electrical & Electronic Services K.S.C (SEES). 

2007   MEW contract for the biggest project for Siemens EES till date – Construction of Az-Zour phase II project - conversion of 560MW Az-Zour south gas turbine power plant to combined cycle.

2007   Kuwait Civil Aviation (DGCA) Contract for the Kuwait International Airport Expansion Project – “Electrical Infrastructure Works”

1968-2008   104 turnkey substation projects have been executed for the MEW which represents around 30% of the network.
